Luke & Sergio's buddy workout - Centr

You've witnessed the magic they make in the kitchen, now trainer Luke Zocchi and chef Sergio Perera are taking it to the next level... as gym buddies. Studies have shown that training with others makes you less likely to skip a workout, more likely to train longer and harder, and helps to keep you accountable.

Tiffiny Hall may be a 6th Dan taekwondo black belt and HIIT/HIRT and MMA expert, but she still loves training with and learning from her fellow Centr trainers.

“It just pushes you to be better every single day, surrounding yourself with people who inspire you,” she says.

There’s also a competitive element that comes into play, as Luke has witnessed when training his friend, Centr founder Chris Hemsworth.

“There would be times you'd come into the gym and say, 'Alright, we're gonna do 10 pull-ups into 20 push-ups' and he'd be like, 'Yeah, I don't really feel like doing that',” Luke explains.

“I’d say, ‘Alright, you don't have to do it, but I'll do it…’ So I'd go do my pull-ups, my push-ups, and because he’s so competitive, next minute he’s behind me doing more than me…”

So grab a mate and give Luke and Sergio’s two-in-one workout a go. Don’t forget: straight back!
