This is how to modify Centr workouts to stay on track - Centr

Don’t let injury or the fact you’re struggling derail your fitness journey. Our trainers are here to help you work your way back to full strength with these practical modifications for some of your favorite workouts. If you are coming back from injury or illness, be sure to consult with a health professional first. Then take it slow and steady.

Your Centr trainers have a few modifications you can try for your planner sessions:

Luke and Tiff’s HIIT/HIRT sessions:

  • Ditch the weight and focus on the movement as a bodyweight exercise.
  • Reduce the reps or timeframe as necessary in order to keep good form.
  • If you can’t quite get a full range of motion in an exercise, do what you can – for example, don’t sit back and down as deeply in a squat if you’re recovering from a knee or hip injury.

Torre’s strength sessions:

  • Reduce the weight to a starting weight and build back up slowly, focusing on technique rather than heaviness.
  • Reduce the number of reps as needed and slowly work back up to them.
  • Add a little more rest between sets.

Michael’s boxing sessions:

  • Reduce the amount of time you’re moving until your fitness levels are back up.
  • Reduce the range of motion if you need to – don’t dip as low down in V-Slips if it aggravates your back or knees, for example.
