Chris & Luke’s smoothie showdown

About to take on a new Centr program? You're going to need fuel for that! Enter Chris and Luke for the great Centr 6 Smoothie Smackdown: two men, two blenders, one heck of a mess.

Sergio is on board as supervisor and referee, but can he control these determined competitors?

Go ahead: Choose your champion, and let the Community know which one will be your go-to smoothie from now on.

Chris's smoothie

Chris is a creative professional, so he can go off-script with smoothie improv, but we’d recommend you stick to his core ingredients for an energy boost before kicking off your training:

  • 2⁄3 cup (5 1⁄2 fl oz) milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1⁄2 cup (1⁄2 oz) baby spinach leaves
  • 1⁄2 Lebanese cucumber
  • 1⁄2 medium banana, frozen
  • 1⁄4 avocado
  • 2 tbs (1⁄2 oz) natural protein powder
  • 1 pitted medjool date
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 4-6 ice cubes
Blend ingredients together in a food processor until smooth and serve immediately.

Luke's smoothie

Forget the avocado pit and miso (Luke, why?!) and follow this instead:

  • 3⁄4 cup (6 1⁄2 fl oz) almond milk (or dairy alternative)
  • 3⁄4 cup (4 oz) frozen mixed berries
  • 3 tbs (1 oz) vanilla protein powder (or natural protein powder)
  • 3 tsp honey (brown rice syrup or maple syrup)
  • 2 tsp almond butter
  • 1 tsp flaxseeds
  • 4-6 ice cubes
Blend ingredients together in a food processor until smooth and serve immediately – with a cucumber-strawberry dumbbell for extra strength gains.
