We’re always on the search for new ways to eat tofu – a staple in any vegetarian or plant-based meal plan. Luckily, tofu is not just a great source of protein, it’s incredibly versatile: you can stir-fry it, glaze it, add it to soups, use it as a filling, spice it up or disguise it for those picky eaters in your life.
This collection brings together nine of our favorite ways to do tofu for dinner, without skimping on flavor!
1/9
Chilli Soy Brussel Sprouts & Tofu
Turn up the heat in your kitchen with this Asian-inspired bowl fueled by a chilli soy sauce (with just a touch of honey for those sweet ‘n’ sour vibes). This is a great post-workout meal with tofu for protein, rice to fill you back up and the caramelized crunch of chilli soy-coated brussels sprouts.
2/9
Coconut Tofu with Spicy Peanut Sauce
Move over, sesame-crusted tofu. Coconut-crusted tofu is the new hot thing in town! Just two minutes each side in a frypan will turn your coconut tofu golden. Serve over a simple Chinese cabbage salad so that spicy sauce (a blend of peanut butter, sriracha and coconut yogurt) can take center stage.
3/9
Eggplant & Tofu Tacos with Kimchi Cream
Korea meets Mexico in this spicy, hand-held dinner spectacular that can be yours in just 12 minutes! These tacos literally come with a special sauce: a blend of coconut yogurt and kimchi (think of it as the Korean sauerkraut) that will spice up your life.
4/9
Tofu & Cabbage Stir-fry with Vermicelli Noodles
Thin, rice-based vermicelli noodles are a staple in Asian cuisine, make a great change from rice or quinoa, and are seriously quick to cook. With your tofu coated in soy and ginger and a colorful collection of vegetables, this stir-fry is fast food made healthy.
5/9
Sweet Chilli Glazed Tofu with Greens
This Asian dinner is all about different textures (firm tofu, crisp broccolini, crunchy peanut butter) and great flavors. Did we mention the glaze is a mix of sweet chilli sauce, soy/tamari and peanut butter? It’s quick to cook and a treat to eat.
6/9
Simon Hill's Asian Bowl with Roasted Vegetables & Tofu
If you’ve never tasted tofu marinated in peanut butter, soy or tamari and lime juice, you’re in for a flavor revelation! Simon’s tasty Asian Bowl is a Sunday roast like your mother probably never made, but it’s got all the goodness she always told you to eat! You can always remix Simon’s recipe by using whatever vegetables you have on hand.
7/9
Vegan Miso Ramen
Ramen is a simple and healthy meal that will keep the whole family happy. You’re not missing anything in this vegan miso, with noodles to slurp, bok choy to crunch and tofu to really absorb that miso flavor.
8/9
Honey & Ginger Stir-fry with Tofu
There’s nothing like a stir-fry to get you that quick dinner fix when you’re home late after a workout. Honey and ginger is a classic flavor combination, while tofu is the rock star protein in this 20-minute dish. And we’re broadening your horizons by opting for farro over rice as a base – it’s a nutty-tasting ancient grain that really absorbs flavors.
9/9
Sheet-pan Vegan Nachos
Crumbled tofu and a sprinkle of paprika turns these nachos from a snack to a filling, healthy meal in a flash. The kidney beans, corn and avocado don’t hurt, either! Don’t forget to top with your favorite plant-based cheese.
